Can you please tell me the stata codes for making publishable tables in stata? I know the code for sumarising data is sum x1 x2 x3... but what is the code for making a publishable table?

Look at -tabout-. You will likely have to install it, using the command: findit tabout

Also it would have to be something repeated many times before it really is worth the work to make a table directly "publishable" in Stata, if it is going to be published in a journal you are most likely better of fixing the table up in word / excel /other text editor that is not a statistical program. If it is to be published on a webpage you probably want more interactive features so again the data should come from stata but the table should be built in a more appropriate program. just my opinion.
I know how to make publishable quality tables of regression in stata using outreg and or estout command. What I dont know is how to make publishable quallity table of other things (besides regression) like 'descriptive statistics' or a simple t test result. I have been searching a lot on net and all seem to give commands for making tables out of regressions only...Can someone help please?
