I would like to know what would be the most appropriate CDA method to analyse ideologies and discursive strategies embedded in newspaper articles? The news intended for analysis will be about the amendments and adjustments on economic policies within the outbreak of Covid-19 featured on 2 different news organisations. Appreciate the feeback. The most appropriate methode methink will be Fairclough's TDM to analyze news paper articals. Fairclough Model analyses a text through three angles i.e. Description. Interpritation and Explanation.
van Dijk's model of critical discourse analysis could be your best option. Here are some insightful readings.

Van Dijk's model and Faiclough's model are both relevant but different. There is no one model that is better than the other; generally, Fairclough's is still the most used. You can also look at Chouliaraki and Fairclough (1999) and Fariclough and Wodak (2009) to complement your method.
It depends on the aims of your study. Van Dijk's and Faiclough's models are the most used ones.
