If you are capturing input side of human-machine interaction then eye-head tracking, sound level, glove sensors are some direct and quantitative in nature. If it is about perception, then EEG of brain can be used.

Hi Hesam. I agree with the other ideas. For perception the eyetracker is good only for knowing where the subject is looking for, but in what concerns cognitive information you must use EEG, and even though, you must identify what means a certain pattern of brain (acalp) activity, in terms of emotions or executive functions. I believe you want to a tool that will measure how people track other people movement ? I assume that you want to establish how people perceive the movement performance when shown to them? I think depend on the standpoint how you define perception. According to Ecological theory of motor control perception and action are coupled and cannot be separated. This can be explained by Karl Friston free energy principle where (how I understand it) we make predictions, that if we move certain way(action) we receive certain sensory stimuli which can be perceived as we expected? So we act in the way that we want to be in situations, that fits our model of the world (as we want it to perceived). In this article (is quite difficult to read)

Author attempted to explain how the saccadic eye movement are in principled way visual searches to explore and sample the world to fulfill our prior expectations? So perception depend on our individual initial standpoint (which is fact continuum) by defining how much I want to see. So if I define perception it is higlhy subjective process. So some people will decide to perceive only information relevant to them. This initial standpoint depend on our previous history, memory, experiences so is highly individual in my opinion.  

So I think it depend on what you want to do with data collected. By measuring the eye movement  you can establish what they are tracking and infer possible movement features they are looking for at that particular moment only,  but I think you cannot generalize, because perception depend on their preddiction (they will see what they predict they want to see in that context) and action. So if you infer that they are perceiving certain features on movement performance, if they change their prediction for whatever reasons (new environment,  physical constraints, disease) they will recon- figure their perceptions of things. (blind person change their perception of sensation from visual information to more priprioceptive) because he does not expect or preddict to receive any visual information). I think you can say that certain group of people perceive things differently, but you cannot apply this information to establish some standarized way of perceiving.

In my opinion, eye tracker only analyzes the eye movements and not perception (as a result of these movements). We can not assume that analyzing sensory receptors and  perception are same.

Perception is interpret and organize information from sensory receptors and many factors affect it (such as the individual experiences, his motor tanks, environmental conditions, the complexity of the task and .... ).

To answer your question, I want you to pay attention to the part of the book of Mrs. dr Vickers-perception-cognition and decision training(2006)  . Which I've given below.

we have two methods of researching the role of vision and attention in sport:

the visual - search paradigms and vision-in-action paradigm

when the visual - search method is used , the eye movements of athletes are recorded as they view videotapes, photographs, computer simulations, or other simulated content from their sport(vickers, 2006, P,34)---So in this way  it is very hard  to investigate the perception and attention.

but in the other hand, when the vision-in-action method is used , the gaze of participants is recorded while they perform in real - world sport setting(vickers, 2006, P,34).---therefore, investigate of  the perception and attention becomes possible.

Hi hesam, you can use some methods just like ERP, QEEG, BRAIN MAPPING, and other neuroscience methods. At first it is necessary to make true definitions and scales about yuor performance parameters. You can refer to  BFE (Biofeedback Federation of Europe). Eye traking is the certain method to scaling visual perception . ...
