I've been using the new Polar team pro in pro female basketball during the season.
the good point of it in my opinion is the real-time data so it was quite useful for players as a feedback during practices.
To the best of my knowledge, these is no validity and reliability paper yet.
Our research group did some testing comparing Polar team with Catapult GPS in outdoor conditions and comparing with criterio in indoor, and our results showed that Polar under-estimate total distance in both conditions, and even more when COD is performed.
So maybe is it not the best tool for research but very useful for daily training
Thank you very much for your response. Unfortunately, I did not find any studies to prove its reliability. At the moment it is a limitation. I also agree that Polar Team Pro is a very useful tool during practice.
This articles only heart rate measurement not content GPS or accelerometer data. I have search external load validaty and reliability article. Thank you so much.
