I am involved in a systematic review including quantitative epidemiology studies, as well and in-vitro and animal studies. I am familiar with risk of bias tools for the human epidemiology studies, but not with tools for the in-vitro or animal studies.

If you are going to study populations, or big samples you can use multilevel analysis.
For assessing the risk of bias of animal studies in systematic reviews, in addition to the SYRCLE tool which has been mentioned, you can use the ARRIVE guidelines and the OHAT (Office of Health Assessment and Translation) Risk of Bias (RoB) Tool.
