We are interested in the modelling of orchard trees as a commercial service. We have a platform/software ready to provide to commercial clients to use in inspecting the results, but are more closely investigating capture methods now.
Lidar is desirable but is expensive to capture and may not penetrate the surface of the canopy depending on leaf area index/morphological factors.
Very high resolution imagery is less expensive to capture but requires a very high imagery count if it is going to capture structure detail.Accurate and detailed processing is also challenging, with lower portions of the canopy 'smeared'.
We are interested in the details of your capture and processing.
