Hi,
I am a master's student, I am trying to coat the Silica nanoparticles with LiOH.
To make possible the LiOH precipitation on the Silica surface I chose to exploit the non-ideality of an alcoholic (ethanol-isopropanol) misture saturated with LiOH. That way allowed to avoid the formation of pure LiOH nuclei so to make it precipitate on the Silica surface.
The problem is that the coating is not uniform, so I would like to know more about the heterogeneous nucleation of the hydroxides dissolved in a solvent, in order for me to know the parameters to act on.
Could you suggest me some paper?
