I'm trying to isolate hepatic cell from human hepatic biopsy with collegenase, but i want to be sure that the isolated cells are hepatocytes. Anyone knows specific hepatocyte marker that can help discriminates hepatocytes from the other cells obtained after collegenase digestion ?

Dear Giulia,
If i don't remember wrongly, Α-fetoprotein is the most common marker for hepatocytes so it should make it easy to identify hepatocytes.

Glucose transporter 2 is integral part of hepatocyte cell membrane and delineates the cell boundary very nicely, if you have a good antibody for it.
