Help me explain the transfer characteristics of GFET??

I deposited a thin layer of metal on Graphene in channel region and the IV characteristics changed. I don't exactly understand what happened. Also the leakage current increased to mA. But leakage become zero when the IDS is zero. Attached are the characteristics curves before and after metal deposition.
