Hello, I'm having trouble connecting an isolator stimulator to my axoclamp 1440A and simultaneously connecting it to a digital stimulator so I can trigger and record my extracelular signals in brain slices. I can see the artifact coming from the digital stimulator, but not the trigger from the stimulation electrodo. This is my first time using this equipment; if anyone could give me some divice, I would greatly appreciate it
Connect one of the digital outputs of Digidata 1440A (#0, for example) to the TTL trigger input of the stimulus isolator. Using a BNC T-conector and a short BNC cable, you can also make an additional connection from the same digital output to one of the analog inputs. In your stimulus protocol, define the proper digital output and at least 2 analog inputs - one for the recorded signal and one for the stimulus pattern. As a result, you will see the recorded signal and the 0-5V TTL trigger.
