I hope you are well. In my current research activity, I need to do Rainfall and Temperature analysis for the next thirty years (2022 to 2051) for the East African region, but I have no idea on how to get those data.
Please could you give me guidance on how to access those data?
General Circulation Models (GCMs) outputs from CMIP6 can be a good source for data that you are seeking. They can be obtained from the Earth System Grid Data Portal - https://esgf-node.llnl.gov/search/cmip6. Free source platform. See the attached template guide if it can be help to download the datasets
You have to do forecasting of your data on the basis of the previous data.
You can use the data of the CORDEX project. It’s very interesting and available for public use with no fees. You will only need to extract the weather data for your study area using the “arcgis” and then make the necessary bias corrections. My best regards.

Global climate projections are easily available with no effort if you just google them. However, if you are interested in a particular region then you have to go through downscaling (statistical or dynamical) process of GCMs available on IPCC website CMIP5 or CMIP6. If you want to use readymade scenarios then CORDEX future data sets are immediately available and useful.

Do not forget to make an account on the ESGF website, it is mandatory.
Hi, you can also use your data from a previous period for future data you wish to obtain in the future period with weather generators (WEAGETS, MULGETS ...). You can also compare the results obtained with future data from the CORDEX project or those from the General Circulation Models (GCMS) output from CMIP6.
You can download it from the ESGF webpage (an account is needed) as was mentioned before. But you have to decide what kind of data do you need: 1) it would be one GCM or ensemble; 2)coupled with RCM or raw GCM 3) what kind of driving source (RCP2.6, RCP4.5, etc.)
3 levels of data that covers, worldwide precipitation measurements, in addition to tutorials and trainings.

Dry spell are days that rainfalls are less than effective rainfall for a given crop. For me I would take rainfall less than 4 mm per day.
