Hello everyone I have designed an antenna in HFSS and now want to import it into ADS,can anybody help me how to convert HFSS file into ADS.
Likewise please also tell how to design schottky diode to be used for converting the microwave power from antenna to DC in ADS and conversion into HFSS required or not for optimized result.
Send your ADS design to the Momentum Layout and save it as a DXF file(or
what ever file format you can easily import to HFSS). Now start HFSS and look for
that Momentum file. It should be straight forward. In Momentum go:
"File"-->"Export"
and pick the best format.

Dear all, please let me know, how to export HFSS antenna design to CST?
For sending to layout in ADS. Go to momentum and create/modify layout.
then from Layout, you can use either of the following:-
1. export as DXF from ADS and Modeller / import in HFSS
2. Export as GDSII from ADS and Modeller/ import in HFSS
For sending files from HFSS to ADS. Do the vice versa of each. Hope it helps you.
Once you have your ADS file in DXF format, I strongly recoment to import to HFSS using "Import..." option in "Modeler" menu. This way you will get your 2D ADS design into HFSS. In order to get a 3D version, then select all 2D items and right click on any of them, then "Edit", "Sweep", "Along Vector", and choose the height.
The data you have got from VNA can be import easily to .csv files(word excel) and can be compared in HFSS (both expermental as well as simulated)
1. Need to remeber that the numbers of values for any parameters like S11 etc. are 200 for example and VNA data also have different explanations like (Freq(Hz) S11(DB) S11(DEG) S12(DB) S12(DEG) S21(DB) S21(DEG) S22(DB) S22(DEG)) are to be written on the file in csv format
2. Second thing needed to be remeber is that the exactly 200 values must be there while simulation in HFSS.
3. Now you can import easily the VNA results into HFSS and can do comparative study.
