Unfortunately, I have not used the Hebler chamber. Instead I have used a traditional Burker chamber. However, for quantification of bacterial number I prefer to use optical density based on a standard curve with cfu for each specie.
Thanks for the responses but I cannot use OD600 method for the current experiments as I am growing my bacteria in media which is very coloured and that is why the need for a counting chamber. I do have one old petroff hausser chamber and I have been using that but I need more counting chambers. The hemocytometer is of no use for bacterial counting although I do not know what the Burker chamber is.
Thanks for correcting me regarding the spelling, it was a typo. Can you show me a seller of the petroff hausser counting chamber please? Can you use it under dark field?
