I was looking at the Smalfjord Formation back in 2003 and came across these (see picture)-I always thought they looked like Ediacaran fossils but I think they were in pre-glacial sandstones.  I never had a chance to pursue this so was happy to see that you are at least working in the area!  I'd be keen to hear your thoughts on these features!
