Recently, NMR spectrum of some samples showed that the -CH3 peak is very small as shown in the figure I attached. The sample has three -CH3 functional groups, and two of these -CH3 in structure will be detected as one peak. Another -CH3 peak appeared at 27 ppm and two methyl groups were found at around 40 ppm (very small peak) and confirmed by 2D NMR.
However, I wonder if the -CH3 group can be so small. Do you have this experience? Do you have any ideas about this?
