Hi, have you ever experienced hydrogen sulfide when are you working with anaerobes inside of a Coy anaerobic chamber? Our indicator strip located in our Hydrogen sulfide column removal is already dark brown, we have changed the media recently one week ago and our paper indicator is brown again. How often do you change the media from the cartridge? and have you experienced some odor coming from the inner lock during vacuum and gas purging cycle? do you have any vent in your anaerobic chamber system?

Hydrogen sulphide gas is very dangerous, so avoid smelling it while working and prevent any escape. Unfortunately, we were injured while working with it. In addition, I did not work with the Identifier, but I used the Got. device. Good luck

Typically when we were working with anaerobes in Coy chambers we frequently purge the chamber (inner airlock door open and pull the chamber gas using the airlock vacuum and refill the chamber using mixed gas). We would conduct the purging typically once every couple of days, or even twice daily if the chamber was heavily used (during catalyst changing). That may help reduce the internal concentration of H2S in your chambers.
