I am university professor and often need to download new literature for my lectures. It is well-known that downloading E-Books are considerably cheaper than Hard copies. However, E-books are also still enough expensive for people from developing countries. A few weeks before I purchased one of them online for Euro 30,-.Therefore, your proposed link will be certainly very useful for researchers, students and other people in many countries of the world. Until today I have not enjoyed free e-books at this link. Right now I have downloaded E-book about education for sustainable development for free using link you provided. I hope you allow me to share this link with my colleagues and students.
I do not read paper books anymore. If I see a book with a friend, I try to find it at Internet first. It is easier to cite, to take notes, and a lot more. I did not know that link yet, it seems to be great, thanks!
I am very much like Vilemar ... rarely reading from paper, nowadays ... I spend probably 50% of my research time [usually historical or history-of-technology research topics] each day using Google Books (and Scholar) ... and, of course, the old standby, regular Google Search (which is a great boon to finding digitized copies of old theses and dissertations online, rather than having to order expensive paper copies and wait sometimes weeks or months to get them ... at exorbitant cost). I have even gone-so-far as to digitize most of my vast collection of rare historical books (even uploading some of the rarest that are not in Google Books to archives.org) to make them more readily available to online researchers.
It is always a good will and conscience to make knowledge accessible to every person so that society becomes well informed and make better decisions. Thank you dear Balaji.
