As we are with expectation a group of learned individuals, it should be easy enough to dispassionately address the question. So, with more detail, why is it that any individual should accept an apology? In what way is the person to which an apology is directed concomitantly obligated to accept an apology? This is to say, why should the recipient of an apology, accept same, given that such receipt amounts to an opportunity for the offending (apologizing) party to again offend, by imposition of obligation on the part of the offended party to accept the apology?
