Hello Prachi. If I understand your question the answer is no, considering the Dermochelys globally as a specie. Have a look to this document "http://www.iucnredlist.org/attachments/1741", extracted from the IUCN file. If you consider the status for each subpopulation, the picture is different in different parts of the world. The results that you point out are shown in table 1, attending to all the IUCN criteria. The figure 3 is also very interesting, only the Northwest Atlantic population shows symptoms of an actual recovering, while all the rest of populations show, in a different rate, are clearly declining . For me, it is a big concern the lack of data for northwest Indian Ocean & southeast Atlantic subpopulation, areas where there is an intense activity of fisheries. Calling to the Precautionary principle I wouldn't be very optimistic. The figure 3 also shows that the future of the specie depends largely on only one subpopulation, Northwest Atlantic, which is not a great notice from a species conservation point of view.
