On the work with the growth technique of Chemical Bath Deposition:
Has someone studied or identified the problem encountered when we place a (supposed stable) thin film of a semiconductor poly-crystalline material inside of the solution which the Chemica Bath will be performed, when we want to grow a second material above a previous one ?
e.i. to grow PbS on a CdS thin films (also previously growth by CBD), we immerse the CdS thin film on the solution, and the surface material of the first film gets unstable, and disolves and diffuses on the chemical solution of PbS.
Has someone studied/identified this studying the electrical performance (or other kind) of a diode device like a solar cell or diode of other kind?
Unless otherwise Noble metals, many of the stable semiconductors or metals in normal atmospheric condition might be highly unstable in a chemical bath. Many of them are highly affected by pH of the electrolyte, mainly due to their chemical potential. For reference, you may refer the electrochemical series. In your case, the primary thin film is perhaps unstable in electrolyte bath for second layer deposition. Play with the bath parameters, mainly pH of the electrolyte.

It was interesting you used the words "electrolite" and "potential" ... I have' nt seen before the Chem. Bath as the electrolyte ... Would you say, there is an important Electrochemical Potential on my Bath ? Do you think to try to measure this potential could be helpful ?
I also looked for the Pourbaix diagrams, Do you know them sir?
If there is an considerable electrochemical potential on my soution , maybe the Pourbaix diagram (elec.potential vs. pH) could be helpful .
