Our capacity for quick access to news events has improved dramatically, due to the ubiquitous Smartphone camera.

But have other elements of reporting declined in quality?

- Delayed stats, even estimated [ especially for disaster event reporting, where the right level of response is needed]

-Poor spelling- even in High level media

-Frequent repetition of ideas in the same article

-poor background checks and poor context reporting

-Too obvious politically biased reporting

Can we do better?

Or is this dumbing down of the population, by selective reporting, the norm that we should be getting used to?
