Critical thinking according Ennis, defines four skills, induction, deduction, assumption and observation, among others. Some say the way to use it is the key to developing this kind of thinking. While others emphasize that only the student more concretized.

Hi. Perhaps I can share my views pertaining to this interesting question. My area of research is language development through technology, particularly in blogging. In my classroom when I exposed my students to blogging activity, they were engaged in meta-cognitive processes to create ideas and exploit their critical thinking during the blogging process before publishing their writing to the cyber world. Therefore, I have found five ways in general on how blogging can lead to critical thinking, which the details can be found in the following link. To sum up, blogging empowers bloggers to be more analytical and reflective. Besides, the sense of language accuracy in expressions is increased. Next, a more communicative way of writing skill can be developed. In addition, blogging clarifies the bloggers' thoughts. Lastly, it brings pleasure during the writing process. However, my experience is only limited to blog as one of the Web 2.0 applications, and I am sure there are more valuable inputs which I have omitted. Thanks.
