These equipments from Labnet look very enticing, but oddly, seem very unpopular, as none of my colleagues knows about them, and I could not find any customer reviews. Any feedback highly appreciated.
I have mostly used shakers and minispins from the brand, but right now I am using multigene mini PCR machine. I have only have good experiences with it, its quick as it has little delay in temp changes. The only not very good thing is that it is designed exclusively for PCR so you cannot do other kind of incubations in it (i.e. digestions with endonucleases).
I have not checked about prices but I bet they are cheaper than other brands.
The prices do look good. The older ENDURO GDS systems (4.7-7.5K USD depending on whether tablet and blue light source are included) appear identical to Aplegen Omega Fluor systems. The newer ENDURO GDS II systems (3.3-5.3K USD) appear to be Axygen GD-1000 units (Axygen is affiliated or owned by Corning). Does anyone have any experience with these systems? I don't know of any at UCLA...
