I saw this phrase in a reviewed article with regard to an optical setup.
Based upon the context clues it either has something to do with heating, statistics, or optics, but I'm more or less at a loss as to what it is after searching through google/asking professors who have been in the field for many years.
The phrase "coherence of dilation" can apparently be checked by checking temperature elevation and using a simple model. Hopefully this helps.
In ophthalmology various studies has been done to find out whether or not pupillary dilatation effects the results of nerve fiber layer thickness measurements at optic disc level done by ocular coherence (OCT) --the author might me referring in this context .or might be a typing mistake ............
