Has anyone have problem with the color of Doxorubicine?

Hi all,

I am trying to use a cytotoxicity/ viability assay with Doxorubicine, but the problem is that the drug has a really dark red color that induce a high background when I am using assays read colors (cholorometric, fluorescent or luminescent ).

Had anyone have the same issue with doxorubicine and can you suggest a solution?

Dear researcher,

If you have a spectrophotometer you could perhaps measure the spectral light absorption profile to see if you can locate wavelength areas of the spectrum (blue?, green? ) with suitably higher light transmission properties.
