Ginevra, during my PhD I searched literature regarding this issue too. I found very little papers on the subject apart papers explaining the concerns of invasive species. Have a look at my thesis.

Have you checked the papers regarding parasitosis in Ectocarpus or Pylaiella? I know they are not commercial seaweed, but it will be useful for understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in that kind of interactions.

I know that in commercial cultivation there are some diseases causing really important problems. Check this article and see if it can be useful for you (I think that the ice-ice disease is caused by a virus, but maybe you can find something interesting).
