I have been fascinated by the many backstories and rigorous outlier research that I rarely hear mentioned in psychology. For example; the research by Dr. Bem on precognition. The recent"cherries and mice" studies showing that conditioning can be passed down to offspring. The work of Iain McGilchrist (The Master and his Emissary) on the left right hemispheres. Group intelligence research that show it is something more than the sum of individuals knowledge. The adverse childhood events (ACE) studies that show the clear link of childhood abuse/neglect etc to adult onset chronic medical conditions. My favorite is the limitations of the double blind design and RCTs. The Gold standard for determining evidenced based therapies has downplayed the much reduced effectiveness of many crowned therapies when applied in real world clinical settings. I have many more topics. I am retired from the VA and have a small private practice and no university connections at this time. I would enjoy collaborating with someone who shares an interest in exploring this to see if a coherent curriculum can be developed.
