I am trying to run an IV Sweep over GPIB from an external computer. I have been successful in programming other equipment (Keithley 2400, Agilent Network Analyzer, etc). I have the programming manual, and was able to communicate, and run an IV Sweep measurement, however, when forcing voltage I am not able to measure the current (I get zero/noise current), and when I try to force current and read voltage, i get the compliance voltage.
I am using MATLAB instrument control tool box. Attach is a sample code.

I got your problem. Please use Labview software instead of Matlab. It is very easy to write codes for your devices. You can also find the driver for your instrument in Labview website free of cost.

The code I wrote was correct. I found that, for some reason the SMU numbering is different when using GPIB than when using Agilent Easyexpert. It was just a matter of figuring out which number corresponded to which SMU port on the back of the B1500.
