Has anybody ever tried to publish an article in which some parts contradict other articles?

One part of my work somehow differs from other works. The good point is that my work doesn’t exactly copy from them and in detail shows some differences to them. I am afraid this is not reasonable to editors and they are going to reject my article due to invalidity.
