Stofferahn. The farm bill is big and broad, but originally focused on market management to reduce chronic market failure across a wide range of crops. In some regions the impacts are more narrow, (more so at certain times in history,) as farming is less diversified there and then. On one side of it, statistics on US agriculture may offer more than general statistics. USDA computes certain statistics with or without including stats on farmers housing and "home consumption" on some years.
