Nowadays you can find instructions for make your own scientific instruments on different sources. Until now by the means of browsing trough biohackers forums or in DIY repositories ( i.e www.instructables.com) interesting examples can be found. However more recently one scientific journal ( HardwareX) took on this role in a more formal mode. The information quality is better in peer reviewed journals, however in internet forums also exist a better interetaction between the authors and the folk interested in the project. What is your opinion?

- https://openhardware.metajnl.com/about is another one to consider. I'd probably do both...publish in the journal and then setup a project on a suitable internet forum or repository and link to the publication there. Francesc Codony
