Halal tourism is a subcategory of religious tourism which is geared towards Muslim families who abide by Sharia rules.
The hotels in such destinations do not serve alcohol and have separate swimming pools and spa facilities for men and women. Malaysia, Turkey and many more countries are trying to attract Muslim tourists from all over the world offering facilities in accordance with the religious beliefs of Muslim tourists. Thanks Tausif Alam. i want to focus on similarity in Islamic teaching among Muslims because diversity is reflected in a number of branches of Islam of which the most numerous are Sunni and Shia.
Halal tourism is not only refer to behavior, conduct and diet. It covers almost everything in our life including cosmetics, banking, services, transport etc.
"i want to focus on similarity in Islamic teaching among Muslims because diversity is reflected in a number of branches of Islam of which the most numerous are Sunni and Shia."

halal tourism is not a type of tourism like ecotourism, sport tourism, leisure tourism. It is an approach like sustainable tourism. I think that the principles of sustainable tourism and halal tourism is closely linked.
