Has anyone used or adapted protocols for haemolymph extraction in small, soft-bodied larvae like microlepidoptera? Techniques such as piercing and centrifugation (common in Drosophila) seem risky due to tissue fragility. I'm looking for a method that is both gentle and efficient enough to yield sufficient volume for DNA extraction and downstream applications. Any suggestions or shared protocols would be greatly appreciated.
