As we all know, Guest/Contractual Faculties are hired for a short period of time, generally one academic year or so. These people are those who work most with least benefits. They are just like standby players who are inducted into the ongoing match at the end of the match and it's expected that they should make the winning goal. A person who does not own a lab., who is hired to teach a large course within a very short period of time is supposed to publish good quality papers.
I'm not sure whether this system exists in your country but it does exist in India.
Many friends in this platform (Researchgate) may be having the power and designation to bring a change in such a system. My request to you all is to abolish this system. Please give a permanent position to the one who is capable of doing that job and see what contributions are made by those people.
