Recently I read an article, "A Tragic Educational Experience: Academic Injustice in Higher Education Institutions in Yemen" by Abdulghani Muthanna. It has led me to think that there could be similar situations through which some of us might have gone through. Yes, I also had experienced some kind of what is called 'academic injustice'. Please share yours.
I had this experience when I was asked to evaluate a very very bright student With low grades. I graded the student with the highest marks and quit my job citing personal reasons.
The student has a behaviour problem and in fact was seeing a counsellor. I cannot fight the system but I did what I had to do and quit.

Well, there are always positive and negative stuff, but take those disadvantages / injustices as a motivation to improve the system from your end / angle. You might not be able to change the system but you can put your efforts

Injustice is too much. But I have learned to be only with academics!!
Our institutions should be developing a team inspired to work together for something bigger than them, to be of service to others, need the focus shifts from individual issues to a larger purpose....
Sometimes, it's better to switch to a new environment when the environment is too suffocating to work.

in order to be more independent, academic association should be more actively to advocating educational policy and action, in public or private area
It is really unfortunate to experience such things in general and academic environment in particular. A person who is supposed to work in making the careers of the students does more of struggle for self existence.
In university exams answer sheets are coded to avoid injustice
in design there is a jury and a point of view so victimisation in such a system is easy
I have spent the best time of my life working at a university. I must say that injustice seems to be considered as acceptable as long as it dose not "happen to the inner circle" its repulsive but also very true
Academic injustice silently contributes towards the destruction of the institution itself. The injustice may be in the form of appointment, promotion, recognition etc. Quite often, a well-connected candidate is given preference over a well-qualified one. Thus, the capability of the qualified candidate, the potential growth of the institution as well as the fate of the students are all compromised. In such a case, the loss is for the institution and the students. Because, if someone is really good, he/she will always be welcomed somewhere.
