Groundwater samples and water quality data: whether the geologic setting would significantly influence the results?
Geologic Setting:
Porous media - where water and contaminants move through inter-granular pore spaces.
Fractured media - where water and contaminants move through the fractures.
Fractured porous media – where water and contaminants move through both the inter-granular pore spaces and the fractures.
Actually, groundwater quality is mainly influenced by the time of transit within the aquifer. Besides and considering an equal time of transit, it also depends on lithological composition. Thence, I think it is hard to assign groundwater quality only to the aquifer type.

Absolutely, groundwater quality and geological settings having a strong relationship. Water and rock interactions are in-situ. Depends on the nature of rock formation the groundwater quality parameters are ascertained. Definitely, the geological setting, lithology, geochemistry, etc., will influence the groundwater quality.
Yes, the water interacts with the minerals it comes into contact with and the amount of oxygen during contact the and length of time of contact are also factors.
You can use a Piper diagram to plot the major cations and anions of multiple samples which can then allow you to determine what water samples originate from specific aquifer lithologies.
additionally the pH due to CO2 dissolution of recharge water will greatly influence the dissolution of minerals.
You can also try inverse modelling in any commonly available geochemical software to determine the potential source minerals contributing to your water samples.
