My team is working to build a reciver antenna, sensitive to the Jovian radio emissions. The dimensions must not exceed 7m.
Frequency to be recived = 22.5 Mhz (Wavelength is aprrox 15m)
Bandwidth = 20Mhz
Standard ground plane is of lamda/2 length, which will exceed our dimensions. Please suggest which type of antenna should be used and construction of associated ground plane. Other suggestions are also welcomed.
PS: I am an undergradute and this is my first project.

You could use a 2 or 3 element Yagi, and use end loading on the roughly half-wave dipoles to shorten them. End loading can be T branches at the end with the end being shorter by about the length of the T arms, or discs on the ends.

Thank you sir. Intially my team discarded the idea of using Yagi because of dimensional constrains, but perhaps we can proceed with this modification.
