Good day to you. Does any one have a validated copy of the questionnaire of Graduated Frequency (GF) to measure alcohol consumption?. Would really appreciate that.
Is the GF a better way to measure alcohol consumption compared to a consumption diary?

Hi Arvinder,
Personally I used a lot of years ago, Addiction Severity Index (ASI), a structured interview questionnaire which needs a serious three day training before. An instrument long and difficult to use. I don't know GF.
To ask alcoholics to assess their consumption is a big challenge! I think a biologic e-monitoring should be the best method. But I don't know if this will be possible one day.
In Gmel et al. study, GF doesn't seem to be the best method (they are supporting Quantity-Frequency Beverage-Specific (QFBS) - 1st link below).
I give you some other publications for your own thinking about this subject.

Good day to you and thank you for your replies- much appreciated. Yes, indeed measuring the consumption is a tough cookie to bite. My population of references will be alcohol consumers- dependent and non-dependent alcohol consumers.
