Am conducting a study on organizational commitment and am looking for a scale that has high reliability that I can easily use for my study to achieve a better result.
I have gone through some quick literature review to corner your question. I found a journal paper dating from 1979 by RT Mowday cited by 16365 which could be considered as "the source of research, please have a look at it to comprehend better your research interest. Nowadays, the most accepted tool to measure OC is that of Alan and Meyer (1990). This questionnaire is composed, in its full length, of 24 items, eight items in each of the following claimed dimension: affec- tive commitment scale (ACS), continuance commitment scale (CCS) and normative commitment scale (NCS).

Other colleagues have already answered with interesting suggestions. It is useful to collect the various instrument available in the literature.
I may add an extra one. We (Roe, Zinovieva, Dienes and I) did a large comparative study of work motivation etcetera, comparing representative samples from Bulgaria, Hungary and the Netherlands. We used an OC scale that proved quite good and interesting. It was also used in various other studies and we developed a short variant as well (2 items) and compared this to the longer one.
