The total hardness of a given sample of water is 136 mg/l
The M alkalinity of the same sample is 267 mg/l
Please show how to calculate the values for carbonate and non-carbonate hardness from the above values.
Carbonate is 81.6 & non carbonate is 49 mg/l
Dear Singh
how can you calculate it?
I know that TH = Carbo. + non Carbo.
according your calculation its about 130 mg/l
regards
Dear sir
Total Hardness is 136 mg/l i.e. 2.72 epm
M alkalinity is 267 mg/l i.e. 5.34 epm
Carbonate is 2.72 epm or 81.6 mg/l
Non carbonate is 5.34-2.72= 2.62 i.e. 159.82 mg/l
Can anyone please tell me how to calculate the amount of 1 N NaOH required to raise the pH of water from 6 to 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 11.5. Thank you in advance for your kind response.
