Cryptography is constantly evolving and adapting to dynamic, nonlinear more complex cyberspace, ubiquity and pervasiveness of smart powerful computational devices generating, transmitting and processing increasing huge amount of data every moment. Given the daily reports, there are still many week chain parts in cybersecurity, that is often broken by sophisticated cryptanalyst techniques capable of breaking almost any encrypted codes.
Professor Eduard Babulak a very good question and a good lead for the reply in your question “sophisticated cryptanalyst techniques capable of breaking almost any encrypted codes.” I don’t see a future in new technologies. Politicians use gmail and hot mail because they know that any special encryption can be breached. Of course there are other ways for secret communications as alternatives.
One area being worked on is post quantum cryptography - encryption that would be resistant to quantum computers. However clever the encryption technique, encryption in itself is Security By Obscurity.
Someone, somewhere knows the value or location, or both of the encryption keys.
Some people resort to a game of Pass The Parcel, where the keys are 'hidden' in what purports to be a safe place, then re-encrypted with a different set of keys which are, themselves hidden elsewhere, and so on, ad nauseam.
The fact remains, that someone, at the end of the chain of responsibility, knows the value of the last key.
Instead of developing more and more complex encryption, we put effort into ensuring that nobody knows the values of the keys, and that they have no location.

Modern Cryptography can be viewed in terms of codes and ciphers, e.g., DES, RSA, AES, SHA, and systems and implementations, e.g., TLS, SSL, PGP, S-MIME. Security professionals look to the mathematically oriented cryptographers to tell us about the strength and limitations of the former, but are responsible for the implementation, selection, application, operation, and effectiveness of the latter. While we are in good shape on the former, the latter is the hard part.
Bruce Schneier has cautioned that the latter is much more difficult than it looks. History tells us that the former have a relatively long useful life, but the problems are in the latter, at least in part because there are so many.
Post-quantum cryptography is the most exploited area for cryptographic algorithms that are more resistant to attack today. With the advent of quantum computers, traditional cryptographic algorithms are not so secure, and algorithms that are more resistant to the attacks of a quantum computer are needed.
