Technology development are often gradual in step while enhancing the previous versions with specific features and functionalities It seems that concept of Smart is often used to represent the add-on features to existing computational devices. It may questionable what technology today is considered truly smart and how does "Smartness increase with couple of new features and functionalities.
An excellent question. We have examined the concept of smart technologies (objects) from a marketing-oriented perspective. We have come to the conclusion that the term is used for a wide variety of concepts or ideas and is often only a buzzword. Unfortunately, the study will be published in a few weeks.
True smart computing will be the one with less stress, ie fast in accessing files, less or zero impact on physical health like radiation and transmitting rays that may impact sight. and easy to carry about with multiple functions that may not require a person to carry more that one device in his pocket.
