We're in the market for a gel visualizer. Our current system is and old Gel Doc system from BioRad. We've been happy with it, and are considering just replacing it with a new one, but I thought I'd get some input from the community before we commit to that level of a purchase. We like the ability to print our images, but it would be nice to have high-res images saved too. We are looking for maximum utility and convenience really. Let me know what you think.
How do you like the biometra system? It looks fairly comparable to the gel-doc. Price is also a consideration, how much did it cost? Also, how much bench space?
Hi Guy Lenk... I do agree with Gerbren Jacobs. You should ask for demonstration. I've been working with Gel Doc system. I guess those that giving the high resolution is the camera. There are many in the market, other than Biometra, Among the most widely used in our place is UVP. I do come across Bio-Pyramid.
