Can anyone help me know/compare the thermal challenges and limitations that gate all around have over normal continuous Fin devices.
I understand that current density are bound to increase but would like to study some quantitative data as well.

Adding to the colleagues the gate all around transistor may suffer from cooling problem as its channel is surrounded by the gate insulator which is basically worse heat conductor than silicon. So, it may be made to effetely cool through the sides from the source and drain contacts. Since the channel is very short the cooling from the source and gate contact may be made effective. Also as the insulator is thin it many not impede much the flow of the heat from the channel.

This is a good question and point of research for gate-all-around FETs, which are about to replace FinFETs. This is closely related to the thermal evacuation problems of SOI MOSFETs, which have been already extensively studied using conventional electro-thermal simulation tools. Now, with emerging nanoscale (quantum) simulation tools, you shoud incorporate the Heat continuity equation.
