I am using 4%PFA Fix tissue, Embedded with O.C.T. 20u sections. After staining, the slides have a black/ grainy like residue that covers the entire slide front and back making them look dirty. During dehydration, I am able to remove the ones on the back with a Kimwipe, but the particles are all over the tissues. Is there anything that I can do to get cleaner slides?

Thank you so much for your answer. I will follow your directions to the T and will let you know how it goes. On the same note, this is what might have happened to the developer solutions as well. Both Solutions turned milky with some precipitate upon addition of Tungstosilic acid. Each reagent was added consecutively.
Solution B: 1.9g Amonium Nitrate, 2.0g Silver Nitrate, 10g Tungstosilic Acid, in 1000mL of dH2O.
Solution C: 1.9g Amonium Nitrate, 2.0g Silver Nitrate, 10g Tungstosilic Acid, 7.6mL 37% F...in 1000mL f dH2O.
The precipitate might be Silver metal as well. Any thoughts?
