I have aminated DNA probes that I have been crosslinking to aminosilanized glass surfaces with gluteraldehyde. However, now I need to space out my DNA probes like in this paper (Article Controlling Binding Site Densities on Glass Surfaces

).

So i need to find a silane that will not react with the aldehyde or amine.

I was just gonna try all these out in the lab but if someone has a definitive answer before i experiment, that would be pretty cool:

- (3-Mercaptopropyl)methyldimethoxysilane

- 3-(Triethoxysilyl)propionitrile

- Diethoxydimethylsilane

- Dimethoxy-methyl(3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)silane
