Hi all, I have mixed citric acid and an amine precursor and subjected it to hydrothermal treatment. Following purification I have obtained the following FTIR spectra (blue).

Upon addition of K2Cr2O7 to this purified product the spectra shows some different peaks (red).

Also, upon addition of FeCl3, there are also different peaks (green) from the original sample.

Could somebody please aid me in identifying what functional groups are in the original sample and what new peaks are being formed?

The peaks obtained are as follows:

Blue: 3048, 2939, 2572, 1694, 1403, 1362, 1166, 877, 784, 608, & 419 cm-1

Red: 3660, 3181, 2988, 2902, 1699, 1611, 1403, 1228, 1186, 1076, 1066, 1057, 947, 903, 885, 764, 623, 554, 418 & 404 cm-1

Green: 3184, 2939, 1693, 1595, 1431, 1402, 1357, 1305, 1169, 1031, 1024, 886, 768, 596, 567, 430, 422 & 415 cm-1

Many thanks
