I am not sure if you are a university o0r pre-college teacher. Insect collections and slides are readily available from various biological supply companies. In the U.S. the best ones are Carolina Biological and Wards Scientific. However, if you have little money the best approach is to borrow such samples/collections from a local university or museum. Universities are the best source because they have many samples just for teaching. Most museums have such collections because it is part of their research and they most likely won;t want to lend the materials to someone outside of the museum.
Dear Oadi, I was wondering whether it at least may be possible to access some digital information from the National Science Digital Library? Good luck!
Thanks all, one of my colleagues in University of Baghdad- Iraq, after 2003 war most the collection and samples of undergraduate study for teaching issues was destroy, also the museum's.
He ask me to help him how to get with getting the storage insects collection for teaching issue.
You should told your friend that the best way to have a storage insect to collect them from grain storage in Iraq only.. I remember when I was working in plant protection Department in Agricultural College .. all the students brings different insects.. if you work there as a teaching assistant or assistant Prof. or even Prof,. you exclude 50% of Lab grade for Insect or Disease symptoms sample....
