According to Randles sevcik equation, the linear graph of current peak vs square root of scan rate should touch at the origin. But what is the problem when it doesn't touch the origin? I just use bare GCE electrode, platinum wire, Ag/AgCl reference electrode, 1M KCl as supporting electrolyte and 5mM potassium ferrocyanide (Fe2+).
Hi you should set the range in x and y axis in statistic software you use
verify what kind of electrode used Randles for his theory i.e. plane, hg drop etc.... Your electrode adjust to that type of electrode?

I think this is mostly related to the cleanliness and roughness of your electrode. Try to follow the procedure for polishing and cleaning. then, check your reference electrode that it has no potential shift. Sometimes, one might get this behavior if you have something adsorbed on your surface. so, that u have additional limitation.
Prof Luong, for activation of Pt electrode as given attached file by you, I should connect to 3 terminal electrode right? the counter electrode is Pt wire and for the working electrode, may I use GCE? or i should use Pt wire too?
