Does anybody know a free web service for creating simple tests running online and with audio? This can even just be a survey tool which lets you add audio. No reaction time is needed.
I know it is possible to do this easily in PHP+HTLM5, but I need a service that can be used by students who have no experience with programming...
Typeform seems to do the trick, although not in a very straightfoward way. You need to upload audio to YouTube or Vimeo, then add the link. Additionally, Typeform is also not for free if you wish to ask more than 10 questions, or if you want more than 100 responses.
In the end I preferred Limesurvey ( https://www.limesurvey.org/ ). It is a bit more complicated to use, but it comes for free if you install it on your server (and there is also a free hosting solution with limited responses). You can add audio just as you would do with Typeform, or by editing the HTML code of a question. Credits to Rosario Signorello for pointing this out to me.
I think I heard at one time there was a web based version of DMDX. It might also be able to play audio online. I can't remember much about it though. I know the stand alone version is Windows based and will play audio. I'm not certain however if it is still being supported.

Christoph Draxler from the LMU in Munich also provides a platform ("Percy") to run such perception experiments for research purposes for free. Currently we do that in 25 different languages. One advantage for us was that we were able to randomize the data in a certain way, which was not possible on other platforms.

Which are the pros and cons of google questionnaires? Do they work for large surveys?
Alice, if you want to use audio, it will not be easy with Google questionnaires (unless this has recently changed)
Gorilla.sc is good when you get around to working it out: user friendly, too.
